Science Communication in an 'Age of Populism'

Mike Schäfer is Professor of Science Communication at the University of Zurich (Switzerland). His areas of expertise include science communication of environmental and climate change issues, public perceptions of science and technology as well as science-related populism and conspiracy theories. His talk "Science Communication in an 'Age of Populism'" pertains to the latter, focusing on current issues in science communication confronted by an increasing science-related populism.

Jakob-Moritz Eberl is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Vienna as well as a member of the Austrian Corona Panel Project and the newly established Monitoring Electoral Democracy (MEDem). His area of expertise is electoral analysis and research.
