Laura König University of Vienna, Faculty of Psychology
Food and eating are becoming increasingly digitalised, with potentially serious consequences for health and well-being. In this talk, I will explore the opportunities and risks of living in a digital world for health communication and promotion, presenting examples from recent and ongoing research on smartphone apps, social media and artificial intelligence. Building on the empirical findings, I will outline priorities for interdisciplinary health research and discuss implications for public health practice.
